So Bill Parcells says that Jason Taylor will be a Dolphin next season, unless he retires. Well, don’t believe it! It’s called coachspeak, and Parcells is the master of it. What else is he supposed to say: yes, we can’t wait to get rid of Jason. We want a 2nd round pick and we want to get it done soon? Please! In my opinion, Taylor is as good as gone, and he stamped his ticket out when we decided to be on Dancing with the Stars.
This was a clear sign to the new Dolphins brass that he does not want to be part of a rebuilding process. He moved his family to Los Angeles for the taping of the show, which means he can not be around training camp until June. You don’t think that’s a message? Parcells is just waiting for the right offer, and he’ll get it. Taylor still has a good 2 years left, and he can be the special player to turn a good team into a championship team.
As for Jason, who can blame him for wanting to leave? He has given his heart and soul to the Dolphins franchise, and he hasn’t come close to a title. Why go out and play another season on a losing team? JT deserves better. He deserves a chance to win like his brother-in-law Zach Thomas. I think he will get it very soon. In the meantime, he can get his dancing shoes on and enjoy Hollywood.
I think it’s really really stupid for Taylor to be on a dancing show while still an active player. I think it shows he cares more about hollywod future than his football career. Sad
