Welcome to the new look of my Local 10 Sports blog. I figured it needed a fresh start from the outdated look it had before. I try to update the blog daily with my take on some of the hot topics in South Florida sports. I also try to provide breaking news and any kind of tidbits that I think might interest the local sports fan. For those who don’t watch Channel 10 often, I’m the Sports Director at the station, and my job is to bring you the latest in all local sports. I’ve lived in South Florida most of my life. I’m a proud graduate of University of Miami, and I’ve been working for WPLG for almost 12 years.

Mis. Jasper I am apalled by your ad and the lack of respect for all other college alumni. My family, freinds and NON GATORS will boycott Publix until you retract your ad. WE ARE NOT A GATOR NATION. We are Canes, Panther, Owels, Knights, and all the others you show no respect to.

We were shocked to see Publix’ full page ad in the MIAMI herald, no less that said (and I quote): “IT TRULY IS A GATOR NATION ONCE AGAIN”.
Let Publix know how you feel—CANES, SEMINOLES, GOLDEN PANTHERS et al UNITE ! Pass this along to your friends, family and neighbors. Let them know shopping at Publix ‘will no longer be a pleasure….!
